Raven Ridge

This 7 year old Arts & Crafts style home is situated in an 80 year old pine plantation. Constructed with select materials, including: red oak flooring; Douglas fir post and beams; a showpiece kitchen with quarter sawn red oak cabinets, Hunter design tile, Arroyo lighting and more.

The property is a nature lovers paradise and could have been named Lady Slipper Ridge, since those and other wild flowers, rare plants, mushrooms and wildlife all abound.

Bonnycroft

An article from the archives of the New York Times, July 2, 1911, reports “W. E. Oglivie, President of the Havana Central Railroad, is at Westport with his family and is occupying Bonnycroft Cottage...”

Original Douglas fir floors, a large porch with lake views, 600 sq. ft. great room, 8 BR/6.5 Baths, new roof and upgraded heating and plumbing combine to make this 4525 sq. ft. home on 2+ acres an especially desirable property. A separate 1470 sq ft building with its own heating and electric could serve any of a number of uses.

History and solid quality and beauty are good reasons to look at this property, but the best reason to look at Bonnycroft might well be as an investment, one that fits perfectly into what Westport, the community, has to offer. Each season brings more people of all ages interested in an active, healthy, lifestyle: early morning bike rides on lightly traveled roads; championship golf in the summer and XC skiing in the winter, right out your back door; sailing, rowing or yachting on Lake Champlain; fly fishing on the nearby rivers and ponds; competitive fishing derbys on the big lake. All this in a community that has the finest summer theatre in the Adirondacks, concerts in the park, artists in residence and fine dining on the lake.

Bonnycroft would be the perfect spot from which to have your family and friends all gather or make new friends by running a well equipped extended stay facility for guests arriving by car, Amtrak from Montreal or New York, boat or even small plane.

Sisco Street Duplex

An Old Style 2 Family House with nice wrap around porch and driveway entrance on each side. There is a nice backyard and garden. The house is in generally acceptable condition, but dated, and is ready for a new owner's touch. One unit has a solid rental history and the 2nd has been used by the out of town owner's family for 25 years. A good starter or investment property in a wonderful neighborhood close to the highly rated Westport Central HS, the municipal boat launch, and a short walk to the center of the historic village.

Plank House

This ca 1830 Federal Vernacular style house derives its name from its unique “plank” construction. Rough sawn 2”x6” boards were stacked horizontally and secured with spikes, requiring no framing.

The house retains a charm and warmth that fits perfectly in the proposed S. Main Street historic district of old Westport. Take the time to explore the lovely back yard or stroll to nearby Ballard Park, the marina or golf course.

Camp on Lincoln Pond

Lincoln Pond is well known among those of us that grew up in Essex County. As a young boy my friends and I would beg our mothers to bring us swimming at the beautiful camp grounds. Until I visited this owner's camp I never realized the full beauty of this Adirondack gem. This is a pristine setting on a private road where generations of families only rarely offer for sale their piece of this idyllic pond.

These pictures are from the camp and a walk along the road leading to the camp.

The camp was a co-listing of William McHone and Bradamant Realty and was sold by William McHone who is now an Associate Broker with Adirondack Realty.
